Municipality to Host Celebration of Controversial History and Montenegrin Cultural Heritage in Village Setting

Under the pretense of being European supporters of anti-fascist values, the anti-European and anti-Montenegrin officials in Zeta have received orders to partake in the grand Serbian-Russian celebration that, according to its agenda, commemorates everything but Europe Day and the principles of Montenegro. This was stated by the Municipal Committee of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Zeta, which noted that the Municipality’s new slogan is “Bread and Greater Serbian Games, Master.”

“Although Zeta Football Club players may not receive scholarships, and the Zeta Basketball Club might not get a dime for its 50-year celebration, Danica Crnogorčević is likely to secure an additional €8,000.00 for performing the fabricated anthem of Montenegro that glorifies historical revisionism—a underpinning of a false ideology that robs Montenegro of its cultural heritage!”

“The financial burden on citizens will include payments for prominent ‘Montenegrin’ performers like Ivana Žigon and Milica Dosković, who will likely recite poetry from Radovan Zogović or other Montenegrin authors,” the DPS Zeta statement outlines.

The DPS responded to reports that following the May 9, 2025, event commemorating Victory Day over Fascism and Europe Day, a ceremony will take place where Ivana Žigon, Milica Dosković, Aleksandra Vojvodić, Jovana Todorović, and the KUD “Slobodan Aligrudić” will perform, while Danica Crnogorčević had a concert during the Easter Bazaar on April 22.

“Ultimately, the organizers—who are staunch proponents of the Ravna Gora values of the ‘Serbian world’—claim, ‘The event has been designed as a blend of music, dramatic expression, and multimedia, aimed at preserving the culture of memory, freedom, and European ideals.’ However, everything presented clearly reveals that the event is a celebration of distorted history and the appropriation of Montenegrin cultural heritage, resembling a kitschy and superficial spectacle more akin to Guča than Zeta,” concludes the DPS Zeta statement.
