Enhancing Geospatial Information Capabilities Through Collaborative Projects and Knowledge Sharing

The need to enhance capacities in geospatial information was emphasized through collaborative projects and knowledge sharing at a regional conference focused on cadastre and spatial data infrastructure in Budva.

This conference took place from May 28 to 30, gathering directors of cadastral and geodetic administrations from the region, alongside representatives from various international organizations.

Attendees were given the opportunity to share their experiences, showcase recent advancements in the digitization of cadastral data, and discuss the challenges and future prospects related to national and regional spatial data infrastructures.

The discussions particularly highlighted the enhancement of interoperability of spatial data, the critical role of digital cadastres in sustainable development and land management, as well as the importance of regional collaboration, as noted by the Real Estate Administration.

During the closing ceremony of the conference, Marko Bulatović, the Director of the Real Estate Administration, awarded letters of appreciation to the directors of regional cadastral and geodetic administrations, along with representatives from international organizations. He emphasized the significance of their sustained cooperation and contributions towards improving spatial data infrastructure.

The conference concluded with a mutual agreement on enhancing inter-institutional collaboration and the necessity to bolster capabilities in geospatial information through joint initiatives and the sharing of knowledge and experiences, as stated in the announcement.

Bulatović expressed gratitude to all participants for their notable contributions and conveyed his anticipation for future gatherings and initiatives.
