The Nikšić police have submitted a criminal complaint against local resident JV (41) on charges of stalking his former romantic partner.

According to the Police Directorate’s announcement, a woman reported to the Nikšić Security Department that an unknown individual had been calling her from a blocked number multiple times over the last two months and would hang up when she answered. Additionally, in the days leading up to her report, she discovered insulting messages placed under the windshield wipers of her car.

These messages contained derogatory remarks aimed at her and her current emotional partner, which caused significant distress.

“Police officers responded to the report from the victim and took necessary actions that led to the identification of JV, who turned out to be the victim’s former partner. A statement was obtained from JV at the police station. The state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Nikšić was notified, acknowledging that JV’s behavior met the criteria for the criminal offense of stalking, and ordered that criminal charges be filed against him through regular proceedings,” the police stated.
