It seems that Mrkić’s “friendly coffee” with Marko Kovačević seriously went to his head

It appears that the casual meeting over coffee with Marko Kovačević has significantly influenced the PES list head in Nikšić, Dr. Zoran Mrkić, as reported by the European Union’s list leader in the Nikšić elections, Ivan Radojičić.

“Rather than pondering what the opposition might do and how they’d approach it, they should reflect on why no one is inquiring about their plans. Instead of engaging in discussions about the Nikšić government, they have merely been following Marko Kovačević’s directives on their actions and strategies. Therefore, there’s no need for independent thought. As we’ve mentioned during the campaign and as Mrkić has reaffirmed multiple times – a vote for PES has consistently represented a vote for DF and Marko Kovačević. Regarding Mrkić’s evaluation of potential conditions for the opposition working with Marko Kovačević, I’d like to reassure him – there are absolutely no conditions under which we would share power with Marko Kovačević. Wherever we could influence the outcome, as in Budva, we ensured his political faction went into opposition,” stated Radojičić in a message circulated by the European Union.

He further emphasized that, unlike Dr. Mrkić, those affiliated with the European Union do not pursue connections solely for personal gain, effectively disregarding previous alliances.

“For us, principles matter, a concept seemingly absent from Zoran Mrkić’s language. Therefore, he need not worry that we would ever substitute him in serving Marko Kovačević under any circumstances,” Radojičić concluded.
