Nationwide Inspection of Hospitality Establishments
The police carried out a nationwide “Raid” operation, inspecting guests at 18 catering venues.
According to the Police Directorate’s announcement, six individuals were apprehended, 17 misdemeanor citations were issued, and drugs including cocaine and marijuana were confiscated. Misdemeanor charges have been filed against nine individuals.
In Bar, police executed raids in four buildings and one slot machine club, identifying several people under scrutiny, including eight notable individuals: DP, NP, IB, DN, MS, DJ, ML, and AM.
“On that same evening, officers from the Ulcinj Security Department, as part of their strategy to combat drug abuse, performed checks at Mala Plaža near a musical event, as well as in the areas of Ada Bojana and the mouth of the Bojana River. They identified several individuals during these operations. In the possession of BZ (23) and F.Dž. (29), both citizens of Kosovo, bags of cocaine were discovered. Similarly, Kosovo citizens AS (20), DK (20), and SV (47), along with Serbian citizen NR (27), were found with packages of marijuana. All six individuals were arrested under the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse and will be presented to the Minor Offences Court in Ulcinj, while the cocaine and marijuana were seized,” the announcement detailed.
Officers from the Regional Security Center “Centar” executed checks in five catering venues, reviewing 20 individuals, among whom were two of operational interest.
Meanwhile, officers from the Regional Security Center “North” undertook the “Searcher” operation during the nights of May 2nd and 3rd, incorporating operational-tactical measures and the “Raid” operation.
“During this operation, 164 vehicles and drivers were inspected, including five individuals of operational interest. A total of 73 drivers and 58 vehicles were examined, 32 drivers were subjected to breath analysis, one person was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, 17 misdemeanor citations were issued, and two misdemeanor reports were completed,” the police statement indicated.
In Bijelo Polje, one catering establishment was surveyed, where 150 individuals and 10 vehicles were inspected.
“During the inspection, an individual identified as EC (20) handed over a PVC package containing cocaine to police officers. A misdemeanor charge will be filed against this person with the relevant misdemeanor court in compliance with the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse.”
The police further reported that officers from the Regional Security Center “West”, within their jurisdiction, supervised a total of seven catering venues and 180 individuals.
