Balša Vojinović is not only an incredibly talented athlete from Montenegro, but also an exceptional one!
Since the beginning of the season, the Iskra karateka has clinched a medal at the European Championships for Cadets, Juniors, and Young Seniors, followed by a significant achievement at the largest senior competition in Yerevan.
The city of Danilovgrad is filled with pride and recently held a reception in honor of Vojinović.
“It is a great honor for me, on behalf of all the citizens of Danilovgrad, to extend my heartfelt respect and congratulations to our local hero, Balša Vojinović—a young karateka who has once again brought us joy by winning a medal from the major European senior stage. Such impressive results don’t happen overnight; they are the culmination of years of dedicated effort, discipline, and a clear vision. This medal holds much more value than what meets the eye, as it embodies countless hours of training, perseverance, and overcoming challenges greater than sport,” stated Aleksandar Grgurović, the President of Danilovgrad, adding:
“By earning this medal, Balša has marked a pivotal moment in his career, a landmark that will be remembered in golden letters not only in his sports history but also in the legacy of our town. With humility, dignity, and a sense of responsibility, this gifted young man has represented our country and city as a true ambassador. His name is now recognized beyond our borders, elevating the name of Danilovgrad alongside him. That is the genuine role of an athlete—to serve as a model, to embody values, and to inspire others.”
Grgurović also extended his congratulations to the Iskra Karate Club.
“Karate Club Iskra, which has nurtured talent like Balša, has dedicated years to working with the youth. It is an institution where character is built, transforming children into remarkable individuals, and young athletes into role models. Their commitment to the next generation, along with their quiet perseverance and the resulting achievements, pave the way for our city’s sports future. As someone who genuinely believes in the potential of young people, I wholeheartedly congratulate Balša on this milestone, hoping he continues down this path and delights us with many more victories,” emphasized the Mayor of Danilovgrad.
