Sweet revenge for the loss earlier in the season – Budućnost Voli’s basketball team emerged victorious against Spartak in Subotica (86:82), maintaining their position at the top of the AdmiralBet ABA League. Their greatest asset shone through again: the spirit of a champion.

The “Blues” found a path to victory even when they were at a disadvantage, trailing by 18 points in the second quarter. Kenan Kamenjaš sealed the deal with just one second left on the clock, securing an offensive rebound and scoring to make it 84:82.

This marked a stunning 11-0 run in the last four minutes for Budućnost, who were down 82:73 but managed to survive after Rašir Bolton missed a crucial three-pointer from the corner.

Rašid Sulajmon reduced the lead with a three-pointer, followed by contributions from Kamenjaš and Nikola Tanasković, who cut the deficit to 82:79 before Sulajmon tied the game with another shot from beyond the arc.

Under pressure from Budućnost, Spartak faltered in their offensive efforts, and Kamenjaš found an unusual way to lead his team to victory.

Spartak’s coach, Vlade Jovanović, called for a timeout planning a decisive play that would send Dušan Miletić to the line. However, a strategic foul by Fletcher Maggi thwarted that effort.

Miletić missed both free throws, and McKinley Wright capped the scoreboard with successful shots from the foul line.

Budućnost stands alone at the top of the ABA League, leading with a win and an extra game over Partizan, who are set to face Mornar on Sunday at 5 PM.
