Dejan Đurović from Tivčana was injured last night in the coastal town, and Rešad Škrijelj from Novi Pazar has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing him multiple times during an altercation.

Škrijelj is facing charges of attempted murder.

Reports suggest that Đurović sustained serious injuries, and medical professionals are fighting to save his life.

According to unofficial sources from Vijesti, the incident originated in a Tivat bar, escalating to a physical confrontation outside in the parking area.

“The Tivat Security Department received a call today at around 00:45:49 from an employee of a catering facility in Tivat reporting a fight involving multiple individuals. The parties involved fled the scene, but after a brief pursuit on Palih boraca Street, two individuals were found in a struggle, one of whom discarded a knife. The individuals were identified as D.Đ. (42) from Tivat and R.Š. (XNUMX) from Novi Pazar, a citizen of Serbia. They received medical assistance, after which D.Đ. was taken to the Clinical Center in Kotor for treatment,” stated the Police Directorate.

The prosecutor on duty at the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica has been informed of the incident, prompting further police and prosecutorial actions, including gathering statements from several witnesses “who indicated that the confrontation started in the catering facility and continued outside.”

“Following a series of actions taken, R.Š. was taken into custody by order of the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office on suspicion of committing attempted murder against D.Đ.,” the statement highlighted.

Škrijelj is scheduled to be presented to the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica today along with a criminal complaint.
