The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Bijelo Polje has ordered the detention of suspect DD for a maximum of 72 hours following questioning.

Yesterday, the Bijelo Polje police filed a criminal complaint against him with the prosecutor’s office, which according to the ODT, establishes reasonable suspicion that he committed the crime of domestic violence or violence within the family.

“According to the criminal report and its supporting documents, it is stated that the suspect (DD) on May 3, 2025, around 8:30 a.m. in their family home in Bijelo Polje, harmed both the physical and mental well-being of his wife – the injured party (DD) using extreme violence and irresponsible behavior, after which she reported the incident to the police,” the statement reads.
