“Romania and Latvia Are Currently Ahead, But Positive Developments Are Ahead for Us”
The top volleyball players from Montenegro have arrived in Romania, ready to kick off their first participation in the CEV Golden League this weekend.
Under the guidance of Coach Ivica Jevtić, the team will compete against the host nation Romania as well as Latvia.
During their preparation phase, Montenegro also played two friendly matches with the Austrian national team.
“The players showed great commitment throughout the training sessions. Regarding our expectations for the first tournament, we must be realistic; Romania and Latvia are currently stronger teams. However, I am confident that we will witness positive developments with our national team,” stated Jevtić.
Montenegro will start the Golden League on Friday, June 7, facing Romania at the Mioveni Sports Center, with the match set to begin at 18:30 PM local time. The following day, they will meet the Latvian national team at the same time.
