Eze and Sarr “break through” Argentina’s Crystal Palace in the FA Cup Final
Crystal Palace may not have been the favorites against Aston Villa, but all eyes were on one team at Wembley – the team poised to compete in the FA Cup final for the third time in its history.
The London club dominated their rivals from Birmingham, winning 3-0, and after nine long years, they are once again hopeful of claiming glory in the oldest competition in the world. The only remaining question is whether their opponents will be Nottingham Forest or Manchester City.
The “Citizens” and “Forestmen” are set to clash in the second semi-final on Sunday, also at the revered arena of football.
Eberechi Eze broke through Emiliano Martinez with a shot from just outside the penalty area in the 31st minute, and at the start of the second half, he earned a penalty which Jean-Philippe Mateta failed to convert into a goal. However, everything came together in the 58th minute.
In that moment, Villa’s midfield faltered, and Ismaila Sarr once again tested Martinez from over 20 meters.
Sarr sealed the final score in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
