“Construction Workers Edge Out Economists in Overtime Victory”

The basketball team from the Faculty of Civil Engineering celebrated their third win in the Meridianbet Student League of Montenegro.

In the highly anticipated matchup of the third round in Group A, the “Construction Team,” spearheaded by the talented Luka Rakočević (20), dealt a second loss to the Faculty of Economics (45:42) following a gripping overtime. Novo Rašović (19) and Lasica (13) also made significant contributions with their double-digit scoring.

The students from the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in Nikšić maintained their impressive 75% win rate, soundly defeating the Mediterranean University (48:20), a team still seeking its first victory. Four players from the winning squad reached double figures: Kovačević (14), Perović (12), Parović (11), and Zonjić (18), while Filip Čarapić (12) and Nikolić (X) were the standout performers for the losing side.

The match between the Faculty of Science and Mathematics and the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology (20:0) ended in a stalemate as the “metallurgists” failed to arrive on time.

The most thrilling encounter of the third round in Group B featured the University of Donja Gorica against the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. After an intense and close contest, UDG notched its third victory (47:45), while this marked the second loss for ETF.
