This weekend will bring a temperature drop, with daytime highs in northern Montenegro not exceeding 10 degrees. Meteorologist Dušan Pavicevic informed “Vijesti” that while some online forecasts suggest the possibility of snow in May, it is unlikely.

According to him, Montenegro will experience primarily dry weather over the next two to three days.

“There may be occasional instability, but overall it will remain relatively warm,” Pavicevic explained.

On Wednesday and Thursday, he notes a forecast of clear weather with plenty of sunshine. However, temperatures are expected to decline starting Friday.

“In Podgorica, temperatures will hover around or slightly below 20 degrees from Friday to Monday. The maximum daytime temperatures in Žabljak are expected to mostly remain below 10 degrees, with increased cloudiness and precipitation on Friday and Saturday,” he highlighted.

Post this period, the interviewee from “Vijesti” indicated a “gradual increase in temperature.”

“The rise in temperature will be noticeable across both northern and southern regions. There’s nothing alarming on the horizon,” said Pavićević.

He emphasized that the likelihood of snow in the north in the upcoming days is slim.

“We may experience chilly mornings in the north on Wednesday and Thursday, but the chances of snow are minimal. We’re not discussing elevations of 1,600 and 1,800 meters above sea level here. The northern wind might bring a few snowflakes, but it won’t be significant enough to warrant special attention,” Pavićević mentioned.

The weather forecast for the next two days indicates variability, as reported by the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology (ZHMS). According to their website, Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny.

“In the north, expect moderate cloudiness in the morning and afternoon. Winds will be weak to moderate and from varying directions. Morning temperatures will range from 0 to 14 degrees, with daytime highs between 13 and 24 degrees. Podgorica will see mostly sunny conditions, with winds similar to the north. Morning temperatures will be around 12, with daily highs at 24 degrees,” the ZHMS website states.
