The Montenegrin water polo team has secured their place among the top eight at the European Championship, successfully achieving this milestone with a commanding 10:5 win over Germany, where the outcome was never in doubt.
The “Sharks” displayed some fluctuations in their performance, but no significant issues arose…
“We entered the match as favorites, anticipated a victory, and delivered it. We faced challenges for about a quarter and a half due to poor decisions in attack, but ultimately we found our stride. With a smaller rotation, we also managed to keep everyone safe from injury,” commented coach Vladimir Gojković.
This Friday, they will face Italy in a crucial derby for a spot in the semi-finals (20:15).
“The key takeaway is that we have reached the quarterfinals. Our focus will shift to the significant match against Italy, and we will prepare thoroughly,” Gojković added.
