MM (55) from Berane is under investigation for allegedly destroying evidence, specifically 25 cubic meters of pine logs believed to be connected to a criminal act, as per the announcement from the Police Directorate (UP) today.

The statement indicated that the Berane police have lodged a criminal complaint against MM, the owner of a wood processing business, on suspicion of the criminal act of obstructing justice.

“Following recent actions, officers from the Berane Security Department have submitted a criminal complaint to the relevant state prosecutor’s office against MM (55), who owns a wood processing company, for the suspected offense of hindering the evidence-gathering process. It is alleged that MM destroyed evidence in the form of 25 cubic meters of pine logs, which were previously entrusted to him for safekeeping by a forestry inspector,” the UP statement reads.
