Bar Municipality Allocates Approximately €63,000 to Political Parties for Three-Month Period

In the first quarter, the Municipality of Bar disbursed approximately 63 thousand euros to political parties operating within its jurisdiction, as indicated by the documentation regarding the local government’s financing of political parties. On a monthly basis, the Bar administration allocates just over 21 thousand euros for this purpose.
Leading the list is the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), which receives 6,002 euros each month due to having the most councilors and a strong performance in local elections. Following closely are the Social Democrats, who get 2,268 euros monthly from the Municipality of Bar.
The party Radomir Novaković Cakan Biram Bar has been allocated 1,585 euros per month this year, while Democratic Montenegro receives slightly less at 1,583 euros.
The Europe Now Movement has received the same amount as the Democrats on three occasions since the start of the year, while the Civic Movement URA has been granted 1,541 euros.
The Bosniak Party, which holds one seat in the Bar parliament, receives 1,244 euros, the same amount as the Democratic People’s Party. The Social Democratic Party (SDP) is allocated a bit less at 1,144 euros monthly.
This year, the Municipality of Bar has disbursed 923 euros every month to the New Serbian Democracy, 728 euros to United Montenegro (which has one councilor), 461 euros to the Movement for Changes (which also has one representative), and 381 euros to the Liberal Party, from which the Vice President of the Bar Municipal Assembly is elected.
The Albanian Alternative receives a modest sum of 96 euros from the Bar administration, while CIVIS gets 289 euros each month.
Therefore, the monthly expenses recorded in the Municipality of Bar for transfers to political parties and associations amount to 21,059 euros, resulting in a total expenditure of 63,178.53 euros for the first three months of the current year.
The Bar Municipality budget for 2025, totaling 63,424,000 euros, which includes funds for political parties, was approved during the Bar Assembly session last December with the votes of 19 government councilors, while two opposition councilors voted against and five abstained.
