Two Arrested After Discovery of Weapons and Ammunition

Officers from the Danilovgrad police department apprehended two individuals suspected of unlawfully possessing and transporting weapons and explosives. The Police Directorate confirmed the seizure of firearms, explosives, and ammunition found in their illegal possession.
According to reports, personnel from the Danilovgrad Security Department conducted a search of the residence and other areas utilized by N.Š. (28), acting on a court-issued warrant. In the process, they located and confiscated a CZ pistol, seven rounds of ammunition, and a pistol frame.
Additionally, eight electric detonator caps with electrical conductors, 11 detonator caps, and packages containing explosive-like materials were also recovered.
Authorities reportedly discovered a PVC bag that contained a stash of fuses for detonation, a mortar shell, and a 105-millimeter Haub artillery shell casing along with a bundle featuring an electrical conductor.
The police stated that the found explosive devices were handed over to officers from the Directorate for Emergency Situations for further processing.
“N.Š. was apprehended on suspicion of the criminal offense of illegal possession and transportation of weapons and explosives,” reads the official statement.
The report also mentions that officers from the Podgorica Police Department, acting under a court order, searched locations associated with RP in the Kuči area.
“During the search, one unidentified rifle, five components of an unknown rifle, and 70 rounds of ammunition of various calibers were discovered,” stated the police report.
They further indicated that RP was arrested under the orders of the acting prosecutor on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and transportation of weapons and explosives.
