I’m confident this team has a promising future.

Unfortunately, there’s no medal this time as the Montenegrin water polo team must compete for 5th to 8th place at the European Championship after being defeated by Italy in the quarterfinals.
“Setebelo” finished with a score of 14:8.
“I believe we performed well in the first two quarters. We had control of the game, but we also displayed a recurring issue in our attack when we had more players. We failed to capitalize on the numerous opportunities we created, and a team like Italy knows how to exploit those mistakes,” stated Stefan Vidović.
Montenegro had a 4:3 lead in the first quarter but then faltered.
“I don’t think the score reflects the reality, whatever that may mean right now. We faced a challenging group, and it’s clear that we exhausted ourselves. This is definitely one of the reasons… At the European Championship, we achieved our goal by qualifying for the World Championship, which is a significant plus for us at this time. These aren’t excuses; I believe this team has potential and will demonstrate it,” Vidović emphasized.
