Italian Football League Matches Postponed Following Pope Francis’ Passing
The Italian Football League has announced the postponement of today’s matches following the passing of Pope Francis.
Pope Francis, a dedicated football enthusiast, passed away at 7:35 AM on Easter Monday at the age of 86 in his Vatican residence, the Casa Santa Maria.
Matches scheduled for today in Serie A included: Torino vs. Udinese, Cagliari vs. Fiorentina, Genoa vs. Lazio, and Parma vs. Juventus.
In addition, games in Serie B, Serie C, and the Youth League have also been postponed.
The Italian league will provide updates on rescheduled match dates in the future.
