The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, will honor the late Pope Francis by attending his funeral in the Vatican, conveying his condolences to the Holy See and to followers globally, as announced by the Public Relations Office of the President today.

The announcement confirms that President Milatović, along with his wife, will be present during the funeral ceremony on Saturday in the Vatican.

“In addition to President Milatović, many international officials are anticipated to join the farewell for Pope Francis. This gesture reflects the president’s tribute to the leader of the Roman Catholic Church and his condolences to the Holy See and believers worldwide. The delegation under President Milatović will also feature the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, Nikola Camaj,” the statement indicated.
