Now is the Perfect Moment to Invest in Montenegro
The Business Forum in Osaka was inaugurated by Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, in collaboration with the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). This event brought together representatives from over 50 companies based in Japan.
During his speech, Prime Minister Spajić underlined the immense potential for collaboration between Montenegrin and Japanese enterprises, specifically in sectors such as infrastructure, energy, logistics, tourism, and information technology.
Spajić stated that Montenegro plans to make substantial investments in infrastructure over the next decade, focusing on road construction, including highways and expressways, railway modernization, new train acquisitions, and enhancements to the Port of Bar. He encouraged Japanese firms to seize these opportunities, highlighting that this is the prime time for investment in Montenegro.
The Prime Minister pointed out that recent reforms have improved Montenegro’s economic competitiveness, and that forthcoming initiatives in infrastructure, energy, tourism, environmental protection, and high technology are likely to drive further growth.
In addressing the Japanese business sector, Prime Minister Spajić emphasized that Montenegro stands out as a secure investment hub with a stable business climate and advantageous tax policies.
He added that with Montenegro’s impending EU membership, the country will join the single European market, significantly enhancing the attractiveness of our economic landscape and acting as a catalyst for dynamic growth and development.
The forum also featured contributions from the President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro Nina Drakić and JETRO Director General Hideki Sho.
Investment opportunities in Montenegro were showcased by Snežana Đurović, the Director of the Investment Agency.
The event concluded with a performance by internationally acclaimed guitarist Miloš Karadaglić.
