Berane Police Seek Romanian Nationals Linked to €4,500 ATM Theft

The Berane police are actively searching for Romanian citizens identified as CCD, CPI, and F.C., who are suspected of stealing €4,500 from a bank ATM, according to an announcement from the Police Directorate (UP).
“Following intensive official measures and efforts to ascertain the facts surrounding the incident reported in February 2025, regarding the unauthorized withdrawal of a considerable sum of money from a bank ATM, officers from the Berane Security Department have identified the three Romanian nationals – CCD, CPI, and FC – as suspects and have filed a supplementary report against them to the existing criminal report against an unknown perpetrator,” the statement indicated.
“These individuals are alleged to have committed the reported offense by utilizing a specialized card and an appropriate method to illegally withdraw the amount of €2,025 from an ATM at a bank branch on February 4, 2025,” it added.
“A local search for these suspects has been initiated by the Berane Security Department.
“The state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Berane has been informed of the case, which has been classified as aggravated theft, and has mandated that criminal charges be filed against these suspects through standard legal proceedings,” the UP stated.
