“I See No Purpose in Returning to Boxing”
Former world boxing champion Tyson Fury has declared that he is committed to retirement and sees no reason to re-enter the ring, despite ongoing rumors about a potential fight with Anthony Joshua.
Fury announced his retirement in January following a loss to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch for the world heavyweight title in Saudi Arabia.
“What would be the point of coming back? For more titles? I’ve already secured 22 of them. I was outmatched, and that’s that. They capitalized on my situation, but I’m content with my journey and accomplishments. I’ve traveled the world and gained invaluable experiences,” Fury stated in a video message.
He humorously remarked that retirement is treating him well.
“I have no urgency to return to boxing and face punches again. Why should I? I’m posed with that question. I’m retired and intend to stay that way. I have nothing left to prove to anyone and no motivation to come back,” emphasized the 36-year-old Fury.
