Ivica Dačić, the Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs (MUP), has stated that the MUP does not have either the “Vortex Ring Gun” or the “Vortex Cannon,” as claimed by the NGO CRTA and “Earshot.” He also noted the absence of the LRAD – 1000Xi model manufactured by the American firm “Genasys,” as well as similar devices made by the Russian company “Ruselectronics.”
Dačić described these allegations as “shameful lies” that damage both the Serbian state and its law enforcement agencies.
“We are constantly facing new disinformation and manipulations intended to disturb the public, with one falsehood perpetuating another. This is why the Ministry of Internal Affairs has had to refute numerous false claims made just this afternoon,” Dačić remarked in a statement released last night.
He further emphasized that there are efforts to discredit the Serbian police, who have worked diligently to maintain peace and security during the rally on March 15th.
“Let me reiterate that the Serbian police have never employed illegal methods throughout their history, not even on March 15,” Dačić concluded his statement.
