The Young “Lionesses” Kicked Off with a Full Five Points
The opening match brought about the maximum five points as the Montenegrin cadets launched their campaign at the Mediterranean Handball Championship for girls under 16 in Podgorica with a win.
The young “lionesses,” comprised of players born in 2008 and 2009, triumphed over Italy with a score of 22:15 (7:5, 7:4, 8:6).
They earned the full five points by securing one point for each of the three sets played and two points for the victory.
Anđelina Orbović stood out as the top scorer for our national team with six goals, while Maša Ulićević contributed five.
Montenegro has another match lined up for the first day of the tournament. At 7:45 PM in the “Verde” hall, they will face Kosovo.
