The Ministry of Regional Investment Development and Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) has announced the launch of a new Client module available on the public section of the portal ngo.gov.me, facilitating the electronic submission of requests for essential services related to NGO registration.

The announcement clarified that this module allows interested parties to access a range of services without needing to visit the Ministry or submit documents in person:

• Registration in the registry of non-governmental associations, the registry of foundations, and the registry of representative offices of foreign non-governmental organizations.

• Submitting requests to amend details in the registers.

• Deletion from the registers.

“An upgrade of the system is in progress, which will soon allow for the electronic issuance of certificates from the records of non-governmental organizations and political parties. To access these services, users must possess a new ID card equipped with electronic identification and an activated e-signature, and create an account on idp.gov.me,” stated the Ministry of Regional Investment Development and Cooperation with NGOs, led by Ernad Suljević.

Once organizations create an account and verify it through a certificate, they can:

• Register their user account on the portal ngo.gov.me.

• Download forms and guidance.

• Complete the electronic application.

• Attach scanned or digitally signed documents.

• Track the status of applications and download decisions from the Ministry.

“This digital service marks a significant milestone in enhancing the transparency, efficiency, and accessibility of public administration in line with the Government of Montenegro’s strategic commitment to modernize services for citizens and civil society organizations. We encourage all non-governmental organizations, foundations, and representative offices of foreign NGOs to utilize these new features and thereby help expedite administrative processes and reduce paperwork. For further information, please visit: ngo.gov.me,” the statement from the Ministry concluded.
