Oklahoma and Cleveland Thrive While Denver Struggles Without Its Starting Five

The top teams from both the West and East continue to shine, as the latest NBA night delivered fresh wins for Oklahoma City and Cleveland.

OKC overwhelmed Detroit with a score of 119:33, led by Shay Gilges-Alexander’s impressive 103 points, marking their 11th straight victory. Meanwhile, Cleveland notched their 124th win of the season, defeating New York 105:61.

Donovan Mitchell was the standout for the Cavaliers, contributing 27 points.

In another matchup, Denver fell short against San Antonio at home, losing 106:113 and allowing the Spurs to end their five-game losing streak.

Russell Westbrook shone for Denver, scoring 30 points along with 11 rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Hunter Tyson added 18 points, and Jaylen Pickett achieved his first career triple-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Deandre Jordan contributed with 10 points and 17 rebounds.

Denver played without key starters such as Serbian star Nikola Jokić, Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, and Christian Brown following a close defeat to Minnesota that had ended 139:140 after two overtimes.

Harrison Barnes was the top performer for San Antonio with 20 points and eight rebounds. Chris Paul supported with 17 points and eight assists, while Sandro Mamukelashvili posted 16 points and 10 rebounds. Blake Wesley and Stephon Castle each added 15 points, along with 15 rebounds and nine assists.

The Spurs were missing Victor Wembanyama and Dieron Fox, who has already ended his season early.

In Inglewood, the Los Angeles Clippers triumphed over New Orleans 114:98, celebrating their fourth win in five games.

Kawhi Leonard was the standout player for the Clippers with 28 points. James Harden contributed 21 points and 10 assists, while Croatian center Ivica Zubac added 17 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. Bogdan Bogdanović also made an impact, scoring 26 points in just 16 minutes.

For New Orleans, Jose Alvarado registered a double-double with 17 points and 10 assists, while Bruce Brown and Kelly Olynyk chipped in with 16 and 12 points, respectively.

Dallas secured a tight 120:118 victory over Atlanta, highlighted by Anthony Davis’s stellar performance of 34 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocks. Miami also made headlines by defeating the defending champion Boston 124:103, snapping their nine-game winning streak and marking the Heat’s sixth consecutive victory.
