The Next Generation of Sound Reinforcement
Sound reinforcement for the Montenegrin giant – Swedish national player and French Brest athlete Jeni Karlsson has joined Buducnost Bemax as their newest handball player.
She has signed a contract with the Podgorica club for the upcoming season.
Karlsson, who plays as a middle back, has represented several clubs in Sweden and Denmark, and has been wearing the Brest jersey since March 2022.
“Over the past four years, she has been one of the top players on the national team, which finished fourth in the recent World Cup last December. Karlsson was the third leading scorer for her team with 28 goals and ranked 10th among the top assist providers in the tournament,” stated Buducnost.
In this year’s EHF Champions League, the 28-year-old Brest player netted 27 goals.
This marks an ongoing effort to strengthen the team for the next season, as Budućnost Bemax welcomes Montenegrin national players Đurđina Jauković, Jelena Despotović, and Nina Bulatović back to the club, while Russian Valerija Kirdyasheva joins from Rostov Don.
Montenegrin national team members Armel Atingre, Ivona Pavićević, Ivana Godeč, Andrijana Popović, Tanja Ivanović, Anastasija Marsenić, and Nađa Kadović, along with defender Mari Plamenova Tomova, have all extended their contracts, with several players from Rudar set to join the team as well.
