Milenko Jovanov, the leader of the parliamentary group “Aleksandar Vučić – Serbia Must Not Stop,” announced that the Serbian Parliament will confirm the resignation of Miloš Vučević as Prime Minister today, following the vote on the remaining agenda items.
Jovanov remarked, “Considering all the factors at play, we should soon know if we’ll hold elections or form a new government. Each scenario has its advantages and drawbacks.”
He also indicated that “certain individuals are already strategizing to obstruct Parliament.”
He elaborated, “The plan is to announce the government’s resignation, indicating that the government has collapsed and entered a technical term. Thereafter, the aim would be to disrupt the session where a new government is to be elected, and to thwart elections through methods like banging on ballot boxes or other means, consequently leading the country into a situation where, I suppose, plenums or assemblies will dictate its future.”
