The SC Derby basketball team has achieved three consecutive victories in the AdmiralBet ABA League for the first time this season, triumphing over Mornar, Split, and Igokea in succession, making it an ideal time for the Podgorica derby.

The “students” will host Budućnost Voli (26:18 PM) in the 13th round of the ABA League, as both teams compete for the top spot ahead of the playoffs.

“The current standings reflect the quality of both individual players and the team as a whole. Buducnost boasts a highly talented offensive lineup, with scoring threats from every position. We need to maintain a strong defensive effort while adjusting our offense to counter the aggressive play of our opponents on the perimeter. Minimizing turnovers will be crucial,” stated SC Derbi coach Petar Mijović.

Buducnost has claimed victory in both encounters this season – one in the ABA League and another in the Montenegrin Cup.

“It’s clear that Buducnost is the favorite, but we’ll do everything we can to make this match competitive,” Mijović emphasized.

Luka Bogavac is in excellent form and, alongside Erik Nil, poses the biggest threat to Buducnost.

“Both teams are familiar with what to expect from each other. Historically, our clashes result in thrilling matches, and our aim is to rectify the mistakes we made in our previous encounters,” Bogavac noted.
