In celebration of Europe Day, the Municipality of Tivat, in collaboration with the “Municipalities for the EU” initiative, is hosting a cleaning campaign at Pržna Bay, specifically targeting the walking paths behind Plavi Horizont beach.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 8th, in the morning. This ecological initiative, coordinated by the Municipal Secretariat for Spatial Planning and supported by the Tivat Municipal Utility Company, aims to unite local government employees, residents, and members of the Voluntary Fire Department “Krtoli” from Radovići to actively enhance the cleanliness of this area, recognized as one of the protected natural assets in Tivat municipality.

Participants are set to gather at 9 am on Plavi Horizont beach, and other interested citizens are welcome to join. To support this initiative, Yngve Engstroem, Head of Cooperation at the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, has announced a visit to Tivat on this occasion. The local administration of Tivat confirmed this announcement. Alongside the cleaning initiative, the Europe Days calendar also features “Sea Jobs,” a fair and workshop organized by doo Biznis Info Centar and the “Wind Festival” over the upcoming weekend in Tivat.

The Maritime Crafts and Arts Fair on Sunday, May 11th, at the Pine waterfront will gather craftsmen, artists, entrepreneurs, and innovative exhibitors who celebrate and develop maritime connections. Given that crafts, particularly maritime crafts, are a key focus area highlighted in the Local Strategy for the Development of Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Tivat until 2030, prepared by the Business Info Center Tivat, this organization—established by the Municipality of Tivat—has partnered in organizing the “Wind Festival” program this year, which seeks to promote maritime knowledge and skills.

Prior to the fair, a complimentary workshop titled “Clustering Nautical Businesses” will take place on Friday, May 9th, at the Tivat Museum and Gallery, aiming to strengthen the maritime sector in Boka Bay through collaborative efforts and innovation. Dr. Nikša Grgurević will lead this workshop. Additionally, that evening at 8 PM, an exhibition by the Adriatic Artists Association of Photographers will open at the Tivat Museum and Gallery. This exhibition, part of the “Wind Festival,” marks the association’s third showing and their 12th collective exhibition, titled “Sea Business,” which will be displayed across two gallery levels until May 16th.
