Ilija Bogdanović Loses Life in Cetinje Shooting

Ilija Bogdanović, a Cetinje resident, lost his life in the Royal Capital shortly after midnight.

The Police Directorate (UP) reported that the incident occurred on Vojvode Boža Street.

An unknown assailant fired at the victim, IB (39), while he was in a vehicle with his wife. IB succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Cetinje, but his wife remained unharmed, according to police.

The police quickly cordoned off the area, alerted the state prosecutor, and initiated investigative procedures to uncover all relevant details of the event.

The UP stated, “Officers from the Regional Security Center ‘Centar’, the Crime Prevention Sector, the Forensic Investigation Group, and members of the Special Police Unit are providing assistance to the Cetinje Security Department.”

They have also notified the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office regarding the situation.
