The weapon involved in the murder of Semir Murić, based on the DNA analysis report from the Forensic Center in Danilovgrad, shows evidence of Edmir Ramović’s DNA.

This was stated yesterday at the Higher Court in Bijelo Polje during the ongoing trial of Edmir Ramović, accused of murdering Murić out of unwarranted revenge and injuring police officer Refik Dedeić outside the Basic Court in Rožaje on December 21, 2021.

Ramović previously claimed that he fired his weapon in front of the courthouse out of fear, asserting that he did not intend to kill anyone.

In an official report following Semir Murić’s murder in central Rožaje, officer Abdusamed Fejzić recounted witnessing colleagues Safet Sinanović, Daut Kalač, Safet Sinančević, Nedžad Kuč, and Refik Dedeić restraining a young man on the ground.

Officer Refik Dedeić testified that he sustained a thigh injury while approaching one of the three individuals on the ground outside the courthouse.

Defense attorney Drago Konatar argued that the official notes and video evidence presented in court show that Dedeić was in a kneeling position when he was shot, actively assisting in subduing Ramović.

“Fejzić noted that when the second shot (which injured him) was fired, Dedeić was kneeling to the left of Edmir Ramović when he was hit in the knee. He then immediately stood up and knelt again,” Konatar remarked.

According to Konatar, official records clearly indicate that Edmir Ramović remained on the ground, and the second shot was fired while he was pinned down by officers, contradicting Dedeić’s claim that he was injured at a distance of 3-4 meters from where the others were overpowering Ramović.

“The forensic examination supports that Ramović was pressed to the ground at the time, with traces of dirt found on his body and damage visible on his jeans around the knee, as well as photo evidence showing dirt on his hands,” said Konatar.

The indictment claims that on December 21, 2021, around 11 a.m., Edmir Ramović took Semir Murić’s life in front of the courthouse out of ruthless revenge for a previous incident involving Murić and his family, who are currently facing criminal charges for assaulting relatives of Ramović.

According to the prosecutor’s document, “immediately before the trial’s scheduled start, following a fight on the corner of the building, Edmir approached Semir Murić, who was leaning against a fence, and fired a shot from an unauthorized ‘CZ’ model 50 7.65 mm pistol, hitting him in the chest, resulting in Murić’s death that same day.”

The indictment also states that the defendant shot police officer Refik Dedeić in the left knee as Dedeić arrived to assist three colleagues in subduing and disarming Ramović.

Dedeić suffered minor injuries as a result of this shooting.
