“Raičević Outshines Azerbaijani Rivals: All Five Montenegrin Fighters Advance to Quarterfinals”

The Montenegrin boxer Nikola Raičević has successfully reached the quarterfinals of the “Heydar Aliyev” junior boxing tournament held in Baku.

He secured his spot today by defeating the local fighter Ismail Nasirzade in the 48 kg weight class via unanimous decision.

In the quarter-final, Raičević will face Georgian boxer Emil Ismailov, who moved forward after eliminating Russian Matvey Zaitsev during the round of 16.

Additionally, Strahinja Mrdak (under 50 kg) and Matija Roganović (under 80 kg) also progressed to the top eight yesterday.

Meanwhile, two other Montenegrin athletes, Luka Otašević (under 46 kg) and Andrija Nikitović (under 52 kg), advanced effortlessly to the next round.

Accompanying the Montenegrin boxers in Baku are three coaches: Boško Drašković, Slavko Mrdak, and Petar Marčić.
