Today in Podgorica, the Montenegrin women’s handball team achieved a decisive victory over Turkey, finishing the match 32:20 in the fifth round of the Cadet Mediterranean Championship.
This win marks the cadets’ third victory in the championship, following their earlier wins against Italy and Kosovo in the first two rounds.
However, they faced defeats against Croatia and Spain.
The team earned five points for their win against Turkey, which includes two points for the victory and one point for each third they won.
Ivana Savić was the standout player for the Montenegrin team, scoring eight goals, while Anđelina Orbović contributed six goals.
This evening, the Montenegrin national team is set to face Slovakia at 17:15.
As per the championship rules, matches are divided into three quarters, each lasting 15 minutes.
A team earns a point for winning a quarter, with two points awarded for a match victory.
If a quarter ends in a tie, teams receive half a point, and a full draw at the end results in one point for each team.
