Following Buducnost’s derby win against Sutjeska in Nikšić on Friday, the 29th round of the MeridianBet First Football League has concluded.

The Podgorica team is on the brink of securing the title, having defeated second-placed Petrovac with a 17-point lead and seven matches still to be played…

ARSENAL CLAIMS 4TH POSITION

Arsenal edged past Dečić AdmiralBet 1:0 in Tivat, marking their second consecutive victory, which distances them from the relegation zone, just two points shy of third-placed Sutjeska.

On the flip side, this was Dečić’s second straight loss, and notably, they have yet to defeat Arsenal this season, with two defeats and a draw.

The decisive moment in Tivat came in the 47th minute, with Neđeljko Kovinić scoring after a throw-in.

Arsenal almost doubled their lead in the closing minutes, but Staniša Mandić struck the crossbar.

JEZERO’S VICTORY, OTRANT RESPONDS

Jezero secured three crucial points in their battle for survival, winning their away match against Mornar at the FSCG Training Camp, thanks to Perović’s penalty in the 37th minute.

The team from Plav played the last half-hour with ten men after youngster Imran Redžepagić received a second yellow card for allegedly trying to earn a penalty in the 66th minute.

In response, last-placed Otrant Olimpik managed a victory over Petrovci (2:1), putting them three points behind Jezera but with one additional match played.

Petrovac initially took the lead in Tuzi with Aleksandar Kapisoda’s goal in the 10th minute. Later, Ulcinj’s goalkeeper, Damir Ljuljanović, blocked a penalty from Adnan Bašić at the 44-minute mark.

This pivotal moment shifted the match, as Petrovac went from leading to losing in a bizarre span of ten minutes in the second half, with own goals by Kapisoda and Aleksa Golubović, the latter mishandling Halil Muharemović’s shot.

The match in Kotor ended in a draw, with Bokelj and Jedinstvo France finishing 1:1.

Penalty goals characterized the match, with Žarko Korac giving the visitors the lead in the 73rd minute, only for Dejan Perović to equalize seven minutes later.
