The players of Sutjeska were unable to overcome their disappointing record in matches against Buducnost, losing 29:3 last night near Bistrica in the first round of the MeridianBet First Montenegrin Football League.
The last time Sutjeska triumphed over Buducnost was on September 11, 2021. Since then, Buducnost has emerged victorious in 10 encounters, with seven ending in draws.
Last night marked Sutjeska’s third consecutive defeat to Buducnost, who secured their victory with goals from Gašević, Bulatović, and Bojović. The lone goal for the home side was netted by Miranović.
“I want to express my gratitude to the fans for their overwhelming support. Unfortunately, we let them down once again. We’re committing amateur mistakes that are costing us goals. We need to stay calm, play smart, and take responsibility. Congratulations to the Buducnost team for their win; their quality is evident from the standings. With seven games remaining in the season, we will strive to improve our performance,” stated Sutjeska player Nikola Janjić after the match.
Looking ahead, Sutjeska will visit Petrovac in the upcoming round.
