Today, Aleksa Bečić, the Deputy Prime Minister for Security, Defense, Fight against Crime, and Internal Policy, will officially inaugurate the Special Police Unit and the Special Police Unit Training Center, marking a significant infrastructure investment in Montenegro’s security sector.

The Training Center spans approximately 36,000 square meters, with around 5,000 square meters dedicated to constructed facilities.

Bečić announced, “The complex features several buildings, including a 3,200 m² accommodation and administrative block containing 23 offices, a meeting room, classrooms, a kitchen, and dining area, along with 43 rooms accommodating roughly 230 people. Additionally, a 700 m² sports facility houses a modern gym and areas for physical training, alongside storage units, a facility for training service dogs, a running track, a garage, and parking spaces.”

He emphasized that the Center has been designed and constructed to meet the highest standards for tactical and physical training, equipped with multifunctional training ranges and obstacles to facilitate the latest forms of specialized training.

“This investment clearly underscores the state’s commitment to modernizing and strengthening the security sector, enhancing operational capacities, and ensuring top-notch training for those who safeguard the citizens of Montenegro,” the statement declares.
