Ivica Dačić, the resigning Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, stated last night that “key evidence published on Wednesday evening disproves all the lies and manipulations circulated, confirming that the supposed sound cannon was not deployed during the Belgrade rally.”
According to Dačić’s statement released by his ministry, “the American manufacturer ‘Genasys,’ from whom the Ministry of Interior acquired the devices in 2021, has categorically stated that the video and audio recordings they received do not corroborate the use of LRAD, or the so-called sound cannon, during the March 15 rally.”
He emphasized, “This key evidence dismantles all the lies and manipulations and confirms that we were truthful: the supposed sound cannon was not used at the Belgrade rally.”
Dačić questioned, “What more is needed to halt the lies besides asserting that even the manufacturers themselves are unaware of what they are producing and selling?”
The minister added, “Such a statement from the manufacturer, along with our demonstrations of devices designed for vocal warnings, does not align with those who create and spread lies, which is why none of the opposition media have reported on it; it compromises their narrative that the bigger the lie, the more it escapes scrutiny.”
In conclusion, Dačić declared, “This marks the end of all deceptions and falsehoods,” emphasizing that “the so-called sound cannon was never used on March 15, nor has it ever been employed by the Serbian police, unlike in several other countries that sponsor protests in Serbia.”
