Buducnost Voli secured a win against SC Derbi in the 26th round of the AdmiralBet ABA League, while Partizan responded, setting up a thrilling derby next Monday with both teams having the same number of victories.
Currently, the “Blue” and “Black and White” teams hold the top spot with identical records of 23-3 after Željko Obradović’s squad narrowly defeated Igokea.
The match in the Belgrade Arena ended with a score of 100:94, despite the guests from Laktaši having a nine-point advantage during the second quarter.
It was evident that nothing was assured until the last minute, when Frank Nilikina converted a free throw, extending the lead to 100:90.
Vanja Marinković led Partizan with 22 points, while Isak Bonga contributed 16 points, along with 12 rebounds and seven assists.
Buducnost previously triumphed over Partizan in Belgrade (97:90) earlier this season. If they can repeat that performance in eight days at the “M:tel Morača Hall”, they will be in a strong position for first place and home advantage in the playoffs.
