David Mirković Joins the University of Illinois Next Season

Young Montenegrin basketball talent David Mirković is set to advance his career at the University of Illinois for the upcoming season.

This move to the NCAA League was confirmed by his agent, Miško Ražnatović, via Platform X.

Mirković will reunite with former SC Derby teammates, the Ivišić twins—Tomislav and Zvonimir—at the university.

David Mirkovic, one of the best young players in ABA league, has committed to the University of Illinois! He joined twin brothers Ivisic, his former teammates from Montenegrin SC Derby! David will play for Team World in the Nike Hoop Summit game on Saturday in Portland!#NILE

Mirković will continue his time with SC Derby until the conclusion of this season, transitioning to the NCAA League next summer.

In the meantime, he has traveled to Portland to participate in the distinguished Nike Hoop Summit, where he will represent Team World against Team USA on April 12th.

This season, Mirković averages 8.8 points and 6.7 rebounds in the AdmiralBet ABA League. He made his debut with the Montenegrin national basketball team in February during a EuroBasket qualifier against Sweden.
