The Serbian government expresses gratitude to Russian intelligence for assistance in combating color revolutions, stated Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin to RIA Novosti, as reported by RT Balkan today.
“I am deeply thankful to the Russian intelligence agencies who consistently aid us in our battle against color revolutions, mainly through valuable information,” he remarked.
Vulin noted that “they (Russian services) are aware of the threats facing Serbia,” according to RT Balkan.
As the president of the Movement of Socialists, a long-standing ally of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party, Vulin emphasized the importance of their collaboration.
He pointed out that Russia and Serbia’s intelligence agencies have previously formalized their cooperation in addressing color revolutions, which he confirmed is still in effect.
While he respects the citizens participating in protests, he believes there should be no foreign involvement in these movements.
“We honor the many individuals who attended the rally on March 15th in Belgrade and their right to voice their opinions. However, we assert that foreign interference is unacceptable. It is a well-known fact that this is a color revolution, orchestrated and funded by Western intelligence,” Vulin expressed.
He acknowledged that many sincere, ordinary citizens join the rallies, but claimed that behind them are activists supported by the West, including NGOs and embassies.
