Ognjanović Takes Over from Maslovar as New President of the Southern Region
A new leader has emerged in the southern football region—Dejan Ognjanović, a former player for clubs like Bokelj, Budućnost, Sutjeska, and Partizan.
He was elected as the president of the Association of Clubs of Montenegro (FSCG – Jug) during the Extraordinary Assembly held today in Kotor, as announced by the Football Association of Montenegro.
Ognjanović will take over the role from Nenad Maslovar.
According to the FSCG, the extraordinary assembly was convened following the initiative and signatures of 23 delegates.
“The newly elected Executive Board for the term 2025 – 2029 includes President Dejan Ognjanović and members Ivo Radovanović, Milan Radulović, Neđeljko Gardašević, Neđeljko Marković, Milorad Malovrazić, Vasko Milošević, Ivan Pavićević, and Damir Karastanović,” stated the FSCG.
Ognjanović garnered support from 26 delegates present at the assembly, while two delegates chose to abstain, and the new president did not cast a vote.
“Our goal will be to work diligently, responsibly, and with dedication. We aim to listen to the clubs and collaboratively address all issues impacting the advancement of football in our region,” Ognjanović expressed. He further stated:
“Alongside the management of the Football Association, we will endeavor to enhance the state of football, clubs, and players in southern Montenegro. Our focus will be on improving conditions at every level, from new initiatives to upgrading infrastructure, fostering youth development, and enhancing competitions overseen by the Association.”
