An Urgent Clarification on the Importance of Passing the Law Ratifying the Agreement with the UAE
Prime Minister Milojko Spajić has submitted an updated Explanatory Memorandum regarding the ratification of the agreement on collaboration in tourism and real estate development between Montenegro and the United Arab Emirates to the Speaker of Parliament, Andrija Mandić. This was announced by Social Democrat MP Boris Mugoša.
Yesterday, the Prime Minister proposed the law to parliament for urgent passage. However, the explanatory memorandum accompanying the proposal indicated that “there are no justifiable reasons for passing the aforementioned regulation through an urgent procedure.”
The revised explanation suggests that the law should be adopted urgently, as the agreement with the UAE would enhance cooperation between the two governments in tourism and real estate, ultimately leading to “an improved economic standard for Montenegro.”
“An urgent clarification has been provided to justify the urgency. Assess the quality of this explanation for yourself… Let’s refrain from commenting on its literacy,” Mugoša remarked on X.
