The third match of the EPCG Super League Women’s Volleyball Playoff Final is set to take place in its third distinct city since the series commenced. After Kotor, where Herceg Novi hosted the match due to venue constraints, and Podgorica, Herceg Novi will serve as the final location for this title playoff on Thursday, May 8th—potentially the last, as the defending champions currently lead with two wins.
In a compelling match at the Medical School sports hall in Podgorica, Herceg Novi achieved a significant victory against Budućnost, triumphing 3:1 and nearing the first triple crown in the history of Montenegrin women’s volleyball.
Budućnost, fueled by the enthusiasm and talent of its young athletes, is eager to shift the momentum and bring the series back to the capital. They are up against the top team in the country, which has held this title for almost three years—a challenge compounded by fatigue, especially since Herceg Novi’s roster has been limited to just nine players.
The match at SC “Igalo” is scheduled to start at 18:00.
