The Montenegrin karate team concluded its participation at the European Championships in Yerevan with two impressive fifth-place finishes, marking their best achievement to date.

The men’s kata team, consisting of Vladimir Mijač, Arijan Kočan, Kenan Nikočević, and Nikola Milić, narrowly missed out on a bronze medal. They were defeated by the French team today, securing a commendable fifth-place finish at the championships.

Similarly, the women’s kata team featuring Mila Mraković, Džena Canović, and Maša Đukanović also ranked fifth in Europe, ending their campaign today with a loss to France.

In a memorable day for Montenegrin karate yesterday, Nemanja Mikulić earned a silver medal, while bronze medals were awarded to Vladimir Mijač, Nenad Dulović, and Balša Vojinović.

With four medals won, Montenegro achieved its best performance at the senior European Championships to date in Yerevan.

“Additionally, we are proud to announce that we will host the 2028 European Championship. This championship will be an event of pride, remembrance, and inspiration for future achievements,” the Federation stated.
