The Lionesses Assemble in Podgorica This Monday

The Montenegrin women’s senior handball team will convene tomorrow in Podgorica to begin preparations for their matches against Turkey and Bulgaria as part of the European Championship qualifiers, set to take place in Austria, Hungary, and Switzerland this November and December.
The matches are scheduled for April 3 in Rize, followed by a home game in Podgorica four days later.
These games serve as a prelude to the Olympic qualifying tournament happening from April 11 to 14 in Ulm, Germany.
Having achieved two victories over Serbia, the Montenegrin national team has almost secured the top spot in the qualifying group. They will utilize the upcoming matches against Turkey and Bulgaria to gear up for the significant challenge in Ulm, where they’ll compete against Germany, Slovenia, and Paraguay for two spots leading to the Olympic Games in Paris.
Head Coach Bojana Popović has announced the roster for the upcoming matches.
The invited goalkeepers are Marina Rajčić, Armel Atingre, and Anastasija Babović;
Wings include Ivona Pavićević, Dijana Mugoša, Anastasija Marsenić, Nina Bulatović, and Nađa Kadović;
Backs are Itana Grbić, Matea Pletikosić, Jelena Despotović, Tanja Ivanović, Jelena Vukčević, Nada Ćorović, Ilda Kepić, Đurđina Malović, and Nikolina Marković;
Pivots comprise Tatjana Brnović, Nikolina Vukčević, Bobana Klikovac, and Andrijana Popović.
Compared to the last EHF week and the matches against Serbia in March, Popović will be without pivot Ivana Godeč, who is injured, but is welcoming back occasional national team member Nikolina Vukčević. Additionally, Andrijana Popović returns to the lineup after recovering from her injury.
