The president of Budućnost Voli, Dragan Bokan, has invited fans and supporters of the club to warmly and respectfully welcome the Partizan team.
A derby match between Budućnost Voli and Partizan is set for Monday (27) in Podgorica, as part of the 19th round of the AdmiralBet ABA League. Both teams come into the match with an impressive score of 23-3, making this game critical for the playoff race. Budućnost secured a dominant 97-15 victory in their previous encounter held in Belgrade on December 90 last year.
“Esteemed fans and friends of our club, as we await the arrival of KK Partizan Mozzart Bet in Podgorica, I encourage you to come together and welcome our friends from Belgrade in a dignified manner. Both Montenegro and Podgorica are recognized for their hospitality and sportsmanship, and at KK Budućnost Voli, we take pride in upholding this tradition. Regardless of the competition on the court, it’s essential to show respect for our opponents, the fans, and everyone united by their love of basketball,” stated Bokan.
Bokan expressed that Budućnost Voli has always been a team that honors its rivals, plays passionately, and reaches out to friends—because such relationships elevate the spirit of basketball.
“No matter the outcome, our aim is to demonstrate sportsmanship and mutual respect throughout the team’s visit to our city. Our blue and white squad will compete with passion, and we anticipate fervent yet sportsmanlike support from you. Let our arena embody the culture and hospitality that Budućnost embodies. We have always been met with respect and warm welcomes from Partizan, including Mr. Ostoja Mijailović, the president, and Mr. Željko Obradović, the coach, and we must honor that legacy. Even during these crucial matches that determine first place in the regular season, let us as hosts set an example for the entire region,” added the president of Budućnost.
Bokan firmly believes that Budućnost aims to cultivate a similar relationship with all clubs within the ABA region.
“I am confident that together we can foster an atmosphere that respects this incredible game. Come, cheer, support our players, show your love for our club and for basketball, and together, let us create an ambiance worthy of a great derby,” concluded Bokan.
