Once again, two Montenegrin handball players have proven their world-class status—Miloš and Branko Vujović shined in the weekend’s Bundesliga matches.
The athletes from Cetinje and Nikšić significantly impacted the 27th round of the Bundesliga.
Miloš netted an impressive ten goals (four from four in penalty shots) while playing for Gummersbach, although his team fell short against Erlangen (34:31).
Currently, he ranks 16th among the league’s top scorers with 121 goals.
Meanwhile, Branko contributed seven goals for Hannover during a challenging derby against Flensburg, but the “warriors” did not secure a win, losing 31:28.
Branko Vujović, who is set to join Dinamo Bucharest at the season’s end, recorded 24 goals in 54 appearances this season, leading his team from the bench under the legendary Ćavi Paskval.
He also shone in the second leg of the European League’s round of 16, scoring four goals, although Hannover could not advance, falling to Sweden’s Savehov.
Defeats marked this round for the teams of Nebojša Simić and Stefan Čavor; Hamburg triumphed over Melzungen (29:22) with our goalkeeper making eight saves, while Čavor scored four goals in Veclar’s loss to Fuhsa Berlin (32:30).
