The President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić, extended his Easter greetings to the Orthodox community, including Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral, as well as other clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC).

In his message, Mandić expressed his wishes for a healthy, joyful, and peaceful Easter celebration in Christ.

“This sacred day, a timeless emblem of life triumphing over death, light overcoming darkness, and hope prevailing over despair, poignantly reminds us of our faith’s core — that suffering is merely a prelude, and that sacrifice leads to salvation,” Mandić articulated in his message.

He emphasized that in an era where pain and unrest often dominate, Easter inspires us to remain resolute in prayer, foster love for our neighbors, and cling tightly to unwavering hope. He noted that only through unity, forgiveness, and Christian humility can we nurture peace both in our hearts and among nations.

“May the Resurrected Christ provide strength to all who endure hardships, solace to the grieving, and hope to those striving for a brighter future. I hope you enjoy these holidays filled with health, spiritual joy, and the peace of Christ,” Mandić concluded.

Mandić also conveyed his Easter congratulations to Archbishop of Bar, Monsignor Roko Đonlešaj, Bishop of Kotor, Monsignor Mladen Vukšić, and the faithful of the Roman Catholic Church, wishing them a celebratory time filled with peace, health, and joy, surrounded by loved ones.

He remarked that the message of Christ’s resurrection embodies eternal hope for humanity — that love triumphs over hatred, life overcomes death, and forgiveness leads to healing.

“Let this light of faith, which unites and uplifts us, guide our endeavors to cultivate a society rooted in trust, respect, and solidarity,” Mandić stated in his Easter message.

He called for increased harmony in Montenegro, more attentiveness to one another, and heightened efforts toward the collective good.

Mandić expressed confidence that everyone could play a part in these noble efforts, inspired by the Christian principles of mercy, humility, and selflessness.

“With heartfelt hope that we, in alignment with Christ’s teachings, will foster a stable, just, and interconnected community, I extend my profound respect and best wishes to all believers celebrating Easter,” Mandić’s message concludes.
